About our watches

What material are the watches made of?

Our watches are made of high-quality stainless steel, polished sapphire crystal and the bracelets are made of genuine leather. The case, dial and hands are made of stainless steel. For this purpose, the design and conception of individual elements was created in Hamburg.

How is the quality of the watches?

Each of the vild Moonphase watches is tested for maximum resilience, long service life and precise timekeeping. When designing, special attention was paid to the highest quality.

The housing is secured to a water resistance of 5 ATM, which, for example, also allows you to take a shower or bath without any problems. In addition, it is completely noise-insulated, so that a ticking cannot be heard even in the quietest moments.

The lunar calendar accurately depicts a moon phase over 29.53 days, just as long as the moon goes through all phases.

The sapphire glass is scratch-resistant and can withstand even the heaviest loads. Thanks to the crystalline structure, only diamonds are harder and water rolls off the surface without leaving streaks.

What is special about the vild Moonphase?

The vild Moonphase watches combine an old tradition of time measurement with the timeless style of a modern Bauhaus style. The lunar calendar has its origins as a small complication in mechanical watches. It commemorates the origin of our current calendar, which began by measuring the phases of the moon. It represents one of the most mythical objects in history - which has always held an important place in various cultures - the moon. Inspired by nature, the moon lies on a dark starry sky under domed sapphire glass in a particularly elegant composition.

The simple and at the same time functional design of individual elements enables precise timekeeping in a timelessly elegant style. Long hands and clear indices can be recognized quickly. A small crown and the flat case round off this uncompromising design perfectly.

About our bracelets

What material are the bracelets made of?

Our leather watch straps are made of genuine leather and are made by hand. We only use the best materials, such as Italian calfskin and suede. Nato and Perlon straps are made of nylon. All our bracelets are harmless and skin-friendly.

Suede is generally a little more care-requiring, which is why we have some here Tips and tricks for the proper care of your suede watch strap have put together.

How is the quality of the bracelets?

Our watch straps are made by hand and each one is checked by us before shipping. The bracelets are very well suited to the stresses of daily use. Both the Nylon watch straps as well as ours Leather watch straps are water and dirt repellent to a certain degree.

Handmade bracelets cannot always be the same as 100%, so there may be minor variations in detail that give the bracelet character.

Care instructions for our leather watch straps

Vintage leather straps, which consist of two layers and are not sewn immediately, are a little more susceptible to liquids, such as water or sweat. In the event of excessive contact with liquids, the layers can separate from one another over time. In that case they have to be re-glued.

Watch straps made of smooth leather

Care

Superficial scratches or abrasions can be removed with a little colorless leather grease. Smaller signs of abrasion can also be removed by gently rubbing a finger on the leather. Matt-coated leather is generally more prone to signs of wear and can darken slightly over time. This effect contributes to the vintage look and is intentional. Oiling leather keeps your bracelet supple and water-repellent.

particularities

When the leather strap bends for the first time, the color of the leather may become lighter for a short period of time. While wearing this effect disappears again. It can also be removed immediately by moistening. Leather is a natural product that softens after the first few uses, adapting to the wrist.

Suede watch straps

Care

Light-colored suede is generally more prone to discoloration. Impregnating the visible surface with a colorless spray for suede prevents dirt particles or liquids from penetrating the leather in the long term. Contact with large amounts of water or other liquids should be avoided with suede.

particularities

Suede straps are rubberized on the edges to protect the leather from liquids and fraying. Some suede straps can fuzz at first. This effect disappears after the first few uses as this is purely excess suede. Lined suede straps are relatively thicker and stiffer. They become softer and more supple on the wrist after a short time.

To what extent do the product images correspond exactly to the bracelets?

We match each product image to the actual colors of the bracelets, so the images are true to color. With a non-standard color calibration of your screen, there may be slight deviations in individual cases. Thanks to the selected materials, the feel of our tapes is very high quality.

Because the straps are handmade and leather is a natural material, not every strap is the same as the 100%. These minor differences give your tape its very own character.

Which Apple Watch are the straps compatible with?

All our Apple Watch straps are compatible with any Apple Watch version (Series 1 - 7). They are easy to slide in and are available in different colors and for both sizes of the Apple Watch.

What is special about Nato Straps?

NATO Straps made their big debut in 1973. Because of their extremely high resilience, the British Ministry of Defense made the bracelets the standard for soldiers this year. The extremely durable and waterproof nylon material as a continuous strap makes it almost impossible to tear the watch off your wrist. Today, the Nato straps are experiencing a revival in a wide variety of colors and designs. They are also very popular for an authentic vintage look.

What makes Nato bracelets special is that they consist of a continuous band and can be worn much more securely on the wrist. Direct skin contact with the watch case is thus largely avoided. They are also intentionally longer so that you can fold the end of the bracelet and slide it into the last ring (see photo).

About our cases & watch rolls

What material are the accessories made of?

Our watch cases and watch rolls are made by hand from high-quality leather. We attach particular importance to a high-quality feel. The watch cases are made of soft leather with a matt vintage finish. Our watch rolls, on the other hand, are made of particularly robust and firm saddle leather.

The Waxed Canvas watch rolls are an exception. This is waxed canvas made from pure cotton. This material makes your watch case both externally water-repellent and particularly strong and rigid. When folding, white stripes can appear on the fabric because the wax breaks here. This effect is completely normal and wanted. It can be removed again by gently rubbing the surface of the canvas with a cloth.

How is the quality of the accessories?

Each of our accessories is handcrafted and made to last. We pay great attention to the use of materials such as leather, canvas and stainless steel. The watch cases and watch rolls are very well suited to the stresses of daily use.

Handmade accessories can't always equal 100%. There will always be deviations in detail in the production and in the nature of the natural material.

Care instructions for our leather accessories

Superficial scratches or abrasions on smooth leather can be removed with a little colorless leather grease. Smaller signs of abrasion can also be removed by gently rubbing a finger on the leather. Matt leather is generally more susceptible to signs of wear and can darken slightly over time. This effect contributes to the vintage look and is intentional. By greasing smooth leather, your accessory remains supple and water-repellent.

Please do not use any detergents or surfactants to clean our accessories, otherwise the natural protective layer will be attacked and the natural material can quickly appear dull and worn.

Are the cases and watch rolls also suitable for the Apple Watch?

You can use our cases as well as the watch rolls for your Apple Watch. The accessories are designed for wristwatches and are also suitable for smartwatches.

About our watch stands & holders

What material are the accessories made of?

Our watch holder and watch stand are made of leather, marble and wood. As natural products, they are therefore not completely alike. Each product is unique. Leather as well as marble and wood have minor blemishes that are completely normal and make your product a unique accessory.

In the case of newly manufactured articles, there may initially still be smells, e.g. B. from care products. These odors are absolutely harmless and disappear after a short time. We manufacture smaller quantities, so that your accessory has not been in our warehouse for long.

Marble

Marble is a natural limestone that has been given a crystalline structure under pressure from within the earth. This marbling can vary greatly, ranging from very fine to coarse strands. As a limestone that was under high pressure, marble often has smaller air pockets. So every marble floor is unique. Marble is acid sensitive, so it should not come into contact with strong detergents or other acidic substances (e.g. wine, vinegar, citrus fruits).

Wood

Wood is a natural product and usually has minor blemishes, such as inclusions, color differences or slight deformations. We treat our wood to be water resistant and fade resistant. Wood can deform or discolour under prolonged or excessive exposure to moisture, UV radiation or extreme temperatures. With normal use, it does not require maintenance.

How do I find the right strap size for my watch?

bandwidth (luggage)

The width determines whether the bracelet fits the watch. You can determine the bandwidth (also called lug width) between the two bracelet holders of the watch case with a centimeter ruler. Most watches have a band width between 18 and 22mm, with 20mm being the most common band width.
Our graphic shows you where exactly the width is measured on the watch. We offer in our online shop these three most common ranges usually for each bracelet.

tape length

Our watch straps come in a standard length that fits both men and most women. On the respective product pages you will find the exact dimensions of the bracelet. To be on the safe side, you can, for example, measure and compare your wrist circumference with a long piece of paper and a ruler.

How do I buy an item with personalization?

You will find the option for your personal embossing on the respective product pages watch straps or leather accessories. Unfortunately, embossing is not possible on suede and nylon straps.

You can choose a maximum of two capital letters or numbers for embossing. After entering the information on the product page, you can place the selected product in the shopping cart and check it out or continue shopping. Your desired personalization will be sent to us automatically after check-out. The shipping time is not extended by embossing the accessory.

Please note that we have to exclude personalized items from the 14-day right of return (see General Terms and Conditions §7 (1)), since they can no longer be sold even in new condition with the embossing.

How do I buy a wrist strap for quick release bars?

Nato and Perlon straps also fit on quick-change bars without adjustment. Some of our bracelets are already supplied with a quick-change bar. You can recognize these bracelets by the product image, which shows the back of the bracelet. There you can see holes for the pins of the quick-change bars.

How do I know if my current strap has quick-change bars?

Under How do I buy a wrist strap for quick release bars? you can find a picture showing quick-change bars in a watch strap. In general, both normal spring bars and the quick-change bars fit on a wristwatch.
