The foundation for Master Control watches was laid in 1946, when Jaeger LeCoultre (JLC for short) launched its first watch with an automatic movement. Not only the movement, but also the design of this first model shaped subsequent watches. The Master Control was only born in 1992 under a very unusual corporate strategy. While other luxury watch brands relied on the demanding chronometer certificate (for particularly high accuracy) from the Swiss testing authority COSC, JLC's Master Control was subjected to an even more stringent internal testing procedure. Before delivery, each individual watch was subjected to a wide variety of tests over a period of 41 days and 16 hours. For example, it had to withstand targeted shocks, magnetic fields, changing temperatures, etc. before being sold. Thus, not only the movement, but the entire watch was put through its paces.
The Master Control is now available in various versions, such as this one with a lunar calendar that displays the phases of the moon. Interesting facts about the phases of the moon and popular clocks with calendars can be found in our article. The model has a diameter of 39mm and a rather unusual lug width of 21mm.
The dark blue of the lunar calendar of the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control combines very well with a blue strap. Dyster-Blue Nato Strap The elegant watch looks modern and is ideal for casual outfits with sneakers. It gains a particularly high-quality look with the matte reddish-brown Kopparmynt-Brown leather bracelet.
