About the IWC Pilot's Watch Mark
The famous predecessor, the IWC Mark 11, was first produced in 1948. Just one year later, it was already being used by the British Air Force and other Commonwealth countries as a pilot's watch. The legendary Mark 11 was produced for a total of 33 years and served both civilian and military pilots. Even then, the watch was subjected to various tests totaling 648 hours before each individual delivery. The tests were designed to ensure navigation with high accuracy of the movement and under different temperature conditions. The IWC Mark also had to withstand magnetic fields. The current model of the watch is based on these properties and experiences of the past decades. The IWC Pilot Watch Mark XVIII (18) has a diameter of 40 mm and a lug width of 20 mm.
The black and white design of the dial goes well with a plain black leather strap like this Fin Black watch strap or the Stark-Black Nato Strap. The brown tone of Espresso Brown leather strap gives the watch back a piece of the legendary Stahl Mark 11. Our watch straps come with free shipping within Germany.
